Designing a Web Browser

The web is defined as a medium of communication through. A web browser is expected to most generic types of data that the web is supposed to serve.

For us, that means text, images, audio and video.

Since all data is transmitted by electromagnetic waves, we need to encode data in specific formats to retain them.

This is true for perception as well, because our eyes collect incoming electromagnetic radiations, but only a certain portion of them is filtered by the eye, for example when compared to what the ears collect. The eyes capture the raw field, while the ears capture the rhythm. This is because unlike the photocells in the eyes which measure the spectral response, the hair cells in the ears measure motion of the hair cells themselves

TODO: hair cell perception, Is audio fundamentally comprised of frequencies, design philosophy, new protocol
